Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a YAG laser used for non-invasive skin rejuvenation and helps improve skin texture, minimize the appearance of pores, and reduce mild to moderate pigmentation. Laser Genesis is meant to stimulate new skin cell growth and collagen production, which helps to minimize pores and improve pigmentation and tone. This laser procedure helps close down the tiny veins and capillaries that cause persistent redness of the skin. The effect that Laser Genesis has on your skin is a gradual one. This treatment is ineffective if done as a single treatment. For optimal results most people need 6-10 treatments scheduled 4 weeks apart. You may begin to see an improvement in your skin halfway through your treatment series (after about 3 or 4 treatments).

Laser Genesis is very tolerable. It’s like a warm laser facial. You will feel a warming sensation on your skin as the hand piece is slowly moved back and forth about a half-inch above your skin. You can return to normal activities immediately. You may be flushed from the heat but that will disappear within a few hours of treatment. Individual treatment results are often subtle but the overall effect over time with multiple treatments can be quite dramatic

Side effects of this treatment are minimal and temporary if any. Most common side effects include temporary redness, possible swelling, and warm skin sensation around treated areas. This treatment is relatively safe and risks are fairly low, but with any laser treatment, there is always the risk of textural changes, burns, blistering, scarring, flaking, bruising, changes in pigment, and reactivation of herpes virus. CONTRAINDICATED for PREGNANT WOMEN.
